Creativity that Gives Back

A portion of proceeds from Ahimsa Arts proudly benefits the nonprofit Humane Long Island, Long Island’s leading force for animal protection. Rooted in the yogic principle of ahimsa—nonviolence toward all living beings—Ahimsa Arts exists at the intersection of creativity, mindfulness, and compassion. This partnership is deeply personal: Juliana Di Leonardo, the owner of Ahimsa Arts, also serves as Vice President of Humane Long Island, helping guide its mission and impact.

In yoga philosophy, ahimsa extends beyond the mat, calling us to live with intention, kindness, and responsibility toward the world around us. Humane Long Island embodies this principle through direct action—rescuing farmed, exotic, and wild animals while working to end exploitation across the region. From closing slaughterhouses and roadside zoos to stopping wildlife massacres and sharing plant-based meals, the organization is redefining compassion from Manhattan to Montauk.

Through your support of Ahimsa Arts, you are practicing ahimsa in action—contributing to a more just, mindful, and humane Long Island for all beings.
